MILWAUKEE, December 31, 2017 – The Pelican Store committed time and effort throughout the month of December to raise awareness on the issue of hunger with their #FillTheCase food drive. The Pelican Store partnered with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, the state’s largest hunger relief organization, which has been solving hunger for 35 years.

“I am proud of The Pelican Store team for coming together and raising food and awareness of hunger in our community,” said Michael Blaha, sales and marketing manager at The Pelican Store. “We will be continuing our support next year and we’ll need a bigger case to fill!”

“We are grateful to The Pelican Store for its efforts to raise awareness and food to help solve hunger in our community,” said Patti Habeck, president of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. “It takes all of us working together to achieve our vision of a hunger-free Wisconsin.”

The Pelican Store collected 126 pounds of food, which will go directly to feed local families and children in the surrounding community. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and its member agencies serve nearly 400,000 people each year.
